INTEGRATED THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE
What I offer …
Every session is tailored to your body's unique needs. Rather than asking you to decide which technique you need, we'll begin by listening—to your concerns, your goals, and your body's responses. From there, we'll choose the approach that offers the most support.
Sessions may incorporate therapeutic massage, myofascial work, craniosacral techniques, lymphatic work, scar mobilization, or other hands-on therapies as appropriate.
If a particular modality sparks your curiosity, you're welcome to choose it as the focus of your session. The descriptions below are simply meant to help you explore the possibilities—your session will always be guided by your goals, your comfort, and what your body needs in the moment.
Many Ways to Support the Body
Every body communicates differently, and no single approach is right for every person or every session. My training in a variety of bodywork modalities gives us options. Some days your body may benefit from focused therapeutic work, while other times a gentler approach like craniosacral therapy or manual lymphatic techniques may offer the support that's needed.
The descriptions below introduce each modality and what it can offer. They're not meant to be a menu to navigate alone, but a way to help you become familiar with the possibilities.
CRANIAL SACRAL THERAPY
What is Cranial Sacral?
Cranial Sacral Therapy can calm and realign the system and address restrictions in the body at an even deeper level.
Cranial Sacral Therapy is a gentle modality that can calm and realign the nervous system and address restrictions in the body at a deep level. Cranial Sacral therapy may provide relief from a variety of symptoms including headaches, neck pain, anxiety, chronic pain, and side effects of cancer treatment among many others. Clients report feeling a deep sense of relaxation and peace during the session.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage?
Manual Lymphatic Drainage, is a gentle rhythmic form of massage used to relieve painful swelling and stagnation caused by lymphedema. Sessions are extremely relaxing and clients often report almost immediate reduction in pain.
We use lymphatic drainage massage techniques to move lymph from your tissues to the lymph nodes, then on to be reabsorbed by the system. This eases the swelling in your tissues and in turn, reduces the pain. Regular sessions can improve the functioning of the lymphatic system and keep lymphedema occurrences to a minimum.
SWEDISH, DEEP TISSUE & MYOFASCIAL
Swedish, Deep Tissue & Myofascial Bodywork
These approaches form the foundation of therapeutic massage and can be adapted to meet a wide variety of needs. Whether you're looking to reduce pain, relieve muscle tension, improve mobility, or simply unwind, your session is customized using the amount of pressure and techniques that best support your body.
Swedish massage uses flowing, relaxing strokes to calm the nervous system, improve circulation, and ease general tension.
Deep tissue work focuses on deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to address areas of chronic tightness or restricted movement.
Myofascial techniques gently work with the body's connective tissue (fascia) to reduce restrictions, restore movement, and support lasting change.
Despite the names, these approaches aren't defined by how much pressure is used—they're defined by the intention behind the work. Together, they create a versatile foundation that can be tailored to your comfort level, your goals, and what your body needs in the moment.
REFLEXOLOGY
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a gentle, focused practice that works with specific areas of the feet, hands, or ears that are traditionally understood to correspond with different areas of the body. Many people find reflexology deeply relaxing and grounding, making it a supportive addition to a massage session or a meaningful focus on its own.
Using intentional pressure and mindful touch, reflexology can help encourage relaxation, support body awareness, and create a sense of balance and calm. Whether you are seeking a moment of deep rest or want to explore a different way of connecting with your body, reflexology offers a gentle and nurturing approach to wellness.
